
For our client Dišport d.o.o., which offers a wide range of archery equipment in European market, we have developed a new online shop with Magento 2 platform. The archery program includes a highly diverse selection of products with numerous different features, so our goal was to create an online shop that is clear, fast, and easy to use. We have integrated numerous functionalities to enhance the user experience and boost sales, such as featured products, brand and product groups highlights, a clear overview and detailed product presentations, stock visibility for each item, a pop-up window for quick account registration, and a fast, streamlined checkout process. To support Dišport d.o.o. company’s daily operations, we also developed additional features that enable faster and high-quality order processing. These include a simple order overview with custom status tracking, automatic customer notifications about their order statuses, stock data synchronization with suppliers, order export to the Metakocka accounting software and GLS delivery service, and automatic status updates for shipped orders using data from the GLS delivery system. The transition from the old online store to the new shop was smooth, with minimal downtime, ensuring uninterrupted access for customers.

On the homepage, we have integrated numerous features to boost sales, such as:
- an interactive slider and 3 additional image fields to promote various products, categories, product brands, special offers, etc.
- highlighting specific products that archery shop Dišport d.o.o. wants to promote at any given time,
- featuring products selected by top archer Dejan Sitar
- display of new products available in the online store
- a list of well-known brands,
- highlighting categories that allow archery enthusiasts to complement their equipment and improve their archery performance.
- Company information with an integrated map showing the store location.
Product categories with detailed filters
Archery products have many different attributes that customers, or archers, use to find the right items for their archery activities. When designing the individual categories of the online store, we focused primarily on easy filtering of products through numerous options and quick searching for the most suitable product for the archer.
On the category pages, we integrated various filters such as brand, color, size, handedness, bow strength, etc., allowing customers to narrow down their selection of potential products and find the right one faster. Each category includes only those filters and filtering options that are relevant to the products within that category, which reduces the chances of filtering results with no matches.


Product presentation and stock availability
On the individual product pages, we integrated various sections for detailed presentation of product information that customers need to make an informed purchasing decision – product description, presentation of product features, product video, customer ratings and reviews, as well as payment methods and delivery options.
For certain products, customers can configure the product according to their preferences with just a few clicks, e.g., color, handedness, strength, size, etc. Before purchasing a product, customers can also check its stock availability. We connected the online store both to the company’s internal inventory management system and to the inventory systems of the company’s suppliers. The stock status of the entire product range is automatically updated once daily. When viewing stock availability, we also integrated the option to filter by all possible configurations of an individual product, which is especially convenient for products with numerous configuration options.
Fast and easy purchase process and data collection for D3 firearms records keeping
In developing the purchase process on the disport.si online store, we focused primarily on designing quick and simple steps from adding a product to the cart through to the successful order submission. At checkout, we integrated various payment methods (cash on delivery, credit card, PayPal, etc.) and different delivery options – personal pickup at the company headquarters, home delivery, or parcel locker.
The product range offered by Dišport also includes items for which, by law, separate records must be kept with certain additional buyer data, such as user information, personal identification number (EMŠO), tax number, etc. To simplify the legal record-keeping process, we integrated additional mandatory fields at checkout that customers must fill out when purchasing products categorized as D3 firearms. This way, Dišport d.o.o. obtains all legally required data for maintaining the firearms purchase records immediately upon successful order submission.
